Cindy & Pete’s Story
Cindy’s Story
Peter once shared with long-time friend, Cindy Harley that if he had money to donate it would go to underprivileged children.
He grew up in poverty but worked from an early age and paid his way through college. He became a metallurgical engineer.
Peter’s faith was tested when first diagnosed, but later he expressed his belief in God’s mercy and grace in helping him to fight his battle.
Peter DeGioia lost his 10 year battle with ALS on July 15, 2019 at Main Street Care Center in Avon Lake.
Peter’s desire will be realized as all of his clothes were donated to Common Threads in partnership with the Cleveland Hope Exchange, with 100% of the proceeds from the sale of Peters clothes being used for good.
