Tina’s Story

“I am a word person and have always been attracted to the word Hope. The dictionary definition of Hope is “a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen or a feeling of trust”. I like the Wikipedia definition of “an optimistic state of mind that is based on an expectation of positive outcomes with respect to events and circumstances in one’s life or the world at large”. ⁣

It is not by mere chance that I would be attracted to an organization with the word Hope in it. I have always been involved with community outreach and the desire to offer hope. I have held onto scripture in 1 Peter 4:10 “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” ⁣

Often I would say to family and friends outreach doesn’t have to be at a large organization or on a Missions trip, you can reach out and give hope in your neighborhood. And the Cleveland Hope Exchange has done just that. Being a part of the Cleveland Hope Exchange has brought great Hope to my life. A hope for reaching out in our community to those, hurt, lost and broken. Building relationships with every social-economic person to form a bridge of unity and understanding through outreach efforts like Hope Days, Hope Week, Letters of Hope and Walk for Freedom. I have had the opportunity to witness Hope by volunteering at these events. ⁣

I value the Cleveland Hope Exchange as a team who really wants to make a difference in our community. I love hearing other team members share that Hope Day is the best day of their month, it is for me too! ⁣

Discovering the Cleveland Hope Exchange has been a cherished family and one of the greatest events in my life. All this is not possible without the hope from and grace of God! ⁣

Romans 15:13 ”May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by power of the Holy Spirit.” ⁣
