Luis & Lisbeth’s Story

Luis and Lisbeth joined the Hope Exchange after being introduced to Megan by Pastor Phil. They had been attending Journey church for about a year and had been serving with First Impressions. ⁣

Lisbeth is originally from Rhode Island. Luis is originally from Cleveland, Ohio. They both met in Tampa, where Luis was working as a teacher and Lisbeth was working as an insurance adjuster. God and having a strong relationship with Him has always been a top priority for them both. God played a large part in why they felt drawn to move from Tampa to Cleveland. As soon as they got here, they knew that finding a church was pivotal. ⁣

Through Journey and the Cleveland Hope Exchange, they have really come to realize that it’s all about God. They’ve felt such a powerful pull to grow closer with God, even when it feels uncomfortable, even when what God wants them to do isn’t necessarily what they want to do. Living outside of their comfort zones is, to them, living in the full trust of God. ⁣

Luis was baptized in December, and in February they got married. Luis and Lisbeth attend our Metro Campus where they love serving the community and getting to know others. They began a couples group, which they host on Fridays. And they serve as lead members of Hope Day, which has grown them so much.
